Erin is a compassionate leader with more than 30 years of broad professional and volunteer experience in consultancy, project management and team leadership in the disability and related sectors where she has championed the value of community and inclusion while assisted organisations to build capacity and sustainability.
Leading from a strategic and relationship mindset to deliver quality products and services while supporting teams to shine, Erin is passionate about forging valuable partnerships and a network of allies and champions to support all people to live their best lives.

Julie Beeck BCom GAICD
Chair since July 2015, Board Member since 2001
Julie is a marketing consultant with over 30 years’ experience providing research, business intelligence and marketing strategy services to organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Julie has been a Board Member of several private and not-for-profit organisations and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Laurence (Larry) Iffla B. Juris., LL.B. FTIA
Board Member since 1993, Chairman from 1996 to 2015
Larry is a partner of Iffla Wade, where he practices in commercial property and estate planning law. Larry has held the positions of Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Perron Group, Deputy Chair of the Council of Activ Foundation and Director and Chairman of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Larry is also a member of the board of the Lester Prize. Larry has a brother with a developmental disability and his family has had a long association with Activ Foundation (now genU) where he remains a member.
Ken Booth BSc Dip Ed, M.Ed.Admin
Board Member since 1995, Secretary
Ken is a practising Civil Celebrant and had a prior 35-year career with the Education Department of Western Australia. Ken has a brother with a developmental disability and was an Honorary Life Governor and member of the Council of Activ Foundation — he is now a Life Member of genU.
Marita Walker AM B.Sc., Grad Dip (Physio), Grad Dip (Neuroscience), M.App.Sc.

Marita has worked in the disability sector for over 35 years in State Government, the NGO sector where she was CEO of Perth Home Care Services (now Avivo) and until 2021 in the National Disability Insurance Agency. Currently covenor of the Quality and Safeguards Sub Committee and Deputy Chair. Marita has held many positions on sector Boards and is currently Chairperson of Australian Inclusion Group.
Mr Geoff Reiser B.Comm, MAICD
Board Member since 2020 Deputy Chair from 2021-2025, Treasurer since 2025
Geoff is Executive Director at insights and strategy firm Metrix Consulting and is a Board member of WestCycle and Keystone Training Group. He is previously Founder and Managing Director of Haeberlin Consulting, with past board memberships including the Curtin School of Marketing Advisory Board, WorkFocus Australia, atWork Australia and the National Disability Recruitment Co-ordinator Advisory Panel.
Patrick Ky MPhil, BCL (Oxon); LLB, BSc
Board Member since 2023
Patrick currently serves as the Western Australian Information Access Deputy Commissioner. A lawyer by training, Patrick has over 15 years’ experience advising on legal, policy and governance matters across public and private sectors. He has worked at the State Solicitor’s Office, in the Victorian public service and at international law firms in Melbourne and London.
Patrick is the parent of three young children, and his experience supporting a neurodivergent child drives his commitment to building inclusive and supportive communities.
Dr Samantha Neylon PhD, BSc (Occupational Therapy), Dip Project Management, Dip Business

Sam has worked in service development, management, clinical, design and research domains in sectors supporting older Australians and those living with disability for over 25 years. With a focus on maximizing engagement opportunities, team development and service outcomes, Sam strives to ensure clients, families and teams are supported to enable people to live the lives they choose. As Director of Disability Justice Service with Department of Communities, Sam works with her team to support individuals with intellectual and cognitive disabilities who interface with the justice system.
Michael Hoare BPsych, GradCertOHRS

Michael is a communications leader with experience building brands and managing corporate reputations in the public and private sectors. His career includes founding and developing a public relations and corporate communications consultancy in China, as well as media roles in Singapore and Hong Kong. He is raising a son with a rare disease.
Leigh Cometti MBA, GAICD
Board Member since 2025
Leigh is the Founder and Managing Director of a network of commercial businesses and brings extensive leadership, governance, and financial expertise. With a strong track record in scaling businesses, managing budgets, making investment decisions, and driving strategic growth, his insights will help strengthen Future Living’s fundraising, partnerships, and long-term sustainability. Leigh is passionate about supporting vulnerable communities and his broad network across business, finance, property, and philanthropy will advance our mission.
